DESCRIBE:
PVC Waterstop V200 is an elastic waterproofing tape and is used to waterproof stop joints.
- Packing: 20m roll
- Form/Color: elastic PVC tape and available in yellow or blue
OVERVIEW:
CHARACTERISTIC:
- Simple construction, high efficiency.
- Sealing feature has high waterproofing effect when concrete begins to solidify.
- Good bonding with concrete.
- Optimal chemical and alkali resistance.
- The surface has many spikes that prevent water penetration.
- Can be welded easily at the construction site (using available welding knife)
- There are many types suitable for each position of the structure.
- PVC waterstop can withstand tensile strength, breakage and elongation according to standards.
- Waterstop can be stretched 3 times longer, so it is easy to adapt to many construction projects
APPLICATION:
PVC Waterstop V200 is suitable for sealing joints in construction structures of the following items:
- Basement walls
- Retaining walls
- Swimming pools
- Wastewater treatment tanks, wastewater treatment plants
- Water tanks, underground water tanks
- Fire protection tanks
- Tunnels, sewers, cellars
- Elevator pits…

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PVC WATERSTOP V200
Positioning into formwork: PVC Waterstop V200 can be used in 2-part (split) formwork. This method allows one half of the V200 to protrude while the other half is poured with concrete. The PVC Waterstop V200 will be held securely between the formwork.
Attachment to steel reinforcement: on the PVC Waterstop V200 there are small holes, these holes will position the Waterstop V200 to the steel reinforcement with metal wire and thus ensure that the Waterstop V20 does not move during the concreting process.
Initial concrete pouring:
- PVC Waterstop V200 only performs its function when both sides are deeply embedded in the concrete. It must be compacted well to avoid honeycombing of the concrete
- The consistency of the concrete must not be too plastic or too hard and the aggregate must have the appropriate grain size.
- Care must be taken when pouring fresh concrete in areas close to PVC Waterstop V200 otherwise the Waterstop V20 will be subjected to the pressure of the fresh concrete, for example one end may fold. To avoid this situation the concrete pressure on both sides of PVC Waterstop V200 must be equal.
Phase two concrete pouring:
- Care must be taken when removing the formwork around the PVC Waterstop V200
- The end of the Waterstop V200 must be carefully checked for honeycombing at the stop point and repaired if necessary.
- The concrete spilled on the Waterstop V200 from the first concrete pour must be cleaned.
- The subsequent construction process is carried out as in the first stage.
Welding:
- Use an electric soldering iron to perform the welding on site.
- Heat both welds simultaneously with both sides of the soldering iron until the PVC becomes molten
- Remove the soldering iron and immediately join the two ends of the weld together.
- Hold the joint firmly until the molten PVC cools and solidifies.
- Check the joint for leaks or imperfections. Re-weld if necessary.
- Damage can occur if the cut is uneven, not hot enough, dusty, etc.
